Behavioural Consultation

 

When you welcomed your dog into your home, I am sure you imagined long walks, hugs on the sofa, a loving companion, another member of the family, happily meeting friends and other dogs for play dates… but sometimes things don’t work out how we think.

 

Our dogs can exhibit all kinds of behaviours that don’t fit in with this picture, reactivity to other dogs or people, pulling/lunging on the lead, se

paration anxiety, resource guarding and so on. Behaviours that really affect what we can do with our dogs and where we can go with them.

 

I am here to help. Working with you and your dog,  I will help you understand and unravel your dog’s behaviour, getting to the root of the issue and creating long term solutions to help you live your best life with your dog.

 

 

 

How it works:

 

• Initial phone contact – The first step is a free of charge phone call where we can discuss the issues and talk through how I can help. If you are then happy to proceed, we will make an appointment for me to visit you and your dog.

 

• Questionnaire – I will send you a questionnaire to complete before our visit. This is quite in-depth and important that it is filled in providing as much detail as possible in order to help me understand the background history in which to tailor our modification plan.

 

• Face to face sessions (4 sessions) – our first session will be about 1.5 hours where I will explain and coach you through the beginning of implementation of the modification plan, followed by 3 x 1-hour sessions to continue your training, address problems that arise on the way and fully supporting you so that you can continue your journey.

 

• Modification plan – After each session you will receive detailed notes of what we have worked on and why, with clear guidance of how to continue in-between sessions (homework!)

 

• 2 months email/phone support – I will be available to fully support you via e-mail, phone, WhatsApp, Zoom in-between sessions, and will continue to offer the same support for 2 months after our last coaching session

 

Charges

 

Face to face coaching:  £270

 

Additional hourly visits: £60

 

(Optional) Written report: £75 - an in-depth report into the breakdown of the behaviour.

 

* Travel expenses charged at 50p per mile round trip from postcode area GL54 5SD (excluding first and last 20 miles)
